MIAUX

Having been immersed in music from a very young age, Mia Prce – the mastermind behind MIAUX – has a lifetime’s worth of creative practice bubbling up and around her. Recalling early musical memories, she cites Vangelis’ Chariots of Fire as the catalyst for her own creative curiosity. That curiosity has blossomed into a decade-plus of releasing contemplative, exploratory synth-led music, and now it has led her to Roadburn – where we will be hosting a show for her this coming April. 

Born in Sarajevo and raised into the fertile Belgian music scene, Miaux trained as a classical pianist. However, reproducing the material that others had written failed to scratch her own creative itch, and soon enough she was writing her own compositions. With a new album on the horizon – comprising a re-imagined score for the 1962 cult classic film, Carnival of Souls – Miaux is once again reaching out a curious hand in a new direction.

Allow yourself to be swept along in Miaux’s gentle current; her ethereal and fluid compositions will carry you to all kinds of weird and wonderful places.
