"We chose AMS-IX due to its strong reputation and because their priorities fit our strategy. Our joint goal is to improve Bahrain's digital infrastructure and increase traffic on the platform to support a vibrant society. We are proud to have created one of the best internet exchanges in the region in just a few years."

Rens Ariens

" AMS-IX is the first platform to go to as it is the largest in the Dutch market with a very rich ecosystem of almost 900 connections. The Internet Exchange has a track record of 30 years and is a trusted, reliable partner. We’re happy to see that AMS-IX is investing in its platform, like the introduction of new switches that are capable of handling 400G ports"

About AMS-IX

_______

AMS-IX is an association that operates multiple interconnection platforms around the world. Our leading platform in Amsterdam has been playing a crucial role at the core of the Internet for 30 years and is one of the largest hubs for internet traffic in the world.

Connecting to AMS-IX ensures customers such as internet service providers, telecom companies and cloud providers that their global IP traffic is routed in an efficient, fast, secure, stable and cost-effective way. This allows them to offer low latency and engaging online experiences for end-users.

After 30 years, we continue to work towards a faster, safer and more sustainable Internet.

Our three pillars

_______

Independence

We hold a position that is not dictated or (in)directly influenced by any organization, political movement, or government. In our ambition to stay independent yet responsible, we welcome all networks and organizations that do not infringe legislation and respect the principles that make the internet great.

Security

We support technical innovations that aim to protect companies and individual against cyber threats. We aim to guard online safety by ensuring equal access to and flow of information and making sure that users can choose to be protected from the internet interacting with their personal lives in ways that may be harmful.

Sustainability

Digitalization was initially considered part of the solution in the quest to build a more sustainable society. But the connectivity sector has become a serious consumer of energy. It is our ambition to reduce the impact of the connectivity sector across the energy chain.
