We’re at a unique moment in time where companies are managing the need to provide a place where their workforce can thrive, while simultaneously managing IT costs, security risks and sustainability goals. This balancing act has forced many companies to re-evaluate their policies, technologies, real estate setup and more.

Companies are turning to HP’s channel partners for help with their business and digital transformations. They are seeking support on technology selection, office setup and managing their IT solutions today and in the future.

For our channel partners, selling IT services and solutions not only delivers great value to their customers, it also has tremendous profit potential. However, entering or expanding into this category can be complex and challenging.

We want to change that.

Today at Amplify Partner Conference 2024, we announced three ways we’re making it easier for our channel partners to create or expand their services businesses.

  1. New and Enhanced Managed Services Offers: HP’s Managed Services Suite includes new and enhanced offers that partners can sell depending on their strategy.

*New* Managed Device Services (MDS) Offering: Today HP introduced a new, comprehensive and fully-managed PC service which includes device configuration and management as well as onsite support, proactive monitoring and recommendations for fleet improvements. In addition, HP offers a suite of software, which can easily be added to the service, including Copilot for Microsoft 3651, Workelevate2, ClipTraining, Coreview, and HP Wolf Pro Security.

HP Managed Device Services is ideal for enterprise and mid-market customers who are looking for a contractual option to offload the management of PCs to a trusted partner.  The new service is expected to be available in May in the United Kingdom, Germany and Spain.

    Enhanced Managed Print Services (MPS):
With almost 40 years of leadership in printing and the industry’s most comprehensive printer security3, HP continues to invest in enhancements to its long-standing, trusted managed print solution. Today, HP announced it is upgrading its Managed Print Services portfolio with the integration of software solutions for Secure Pull Printing and Insights, PaperCut MF and HP Secure Print and Insights.4 In addition, Managed Print Services now enables multi-country deal setup.

HP Managed Print Services is ideal for enterprise and mid-market customers who are seeking a complete, contractual solution to digitize workflows and offload IT print management. HP delivers the services, supplies and analytics on behalf of our partners through a resell model, making it a seamless and comprehensive package.  The new software additions will be available initially in select European countries.

*New* Managed Print Services Subscription Offering:
HP is officially launching Managed Print Services (MPS) Subscription, a simple and flexible option that enables printing from virtually anywhere – all through a low commitment annual subscription model. Smart plans auto-adjust each month to give customers the lowest cost option based on what they print, while proactive device monitoring automatically delivers ink and toner before devices run out.  Managed Print Services Subscription also provides next business day repair and fleet analytics.

Managed Print Subscription is ideal for customers that want to optimize print management or have distributed fleets and work-from-home programs and need the simplicity of a cloud solution. HP Managed Print Subscription is expected to be available in May in the US, UK, Germany, Spain, Italy and France.

  2. *New* Sales Toolkit: HP is making it even easier for channel partners to sell managed services with a new Sales Toolkit, which includes marketing and sales playbooks, trainings & certifications, operations guides, business model selectors, sales support and payment solutions.  The Sales Toolkit will help partners new to services get up and running quickly.  For those who have already been selling services, the new Sales Toolkits will have materials, trainings and guides to help partners further grow their services businesses.

  3. Radically Simplified Support Services Offerings: HP is introducing new, simplified support packages for HP Support Services.  Partners can now offer their customers one of three distinct packages – Essential, Premium or Premium+ Support – for their HP Commercial Notebooks, Desktops and Workstations.  By shifting to intuitive, industry-standard service descriptions and reducing the total number of SKUs, HP Support Services will be easier to comprehend, sell and purchase, leading to greater opportunity for increased deal margins.

With these simplified offers, toolkits and packages, we are making it easier for our channel partners to grow their software and services businesses, increase profitability and deepen relationships with their customers.
